Full Service Pruning Services
One of our arborists walks your property and creates an itemized recommendation list for pruning and removal options for your review. Once you have approved your work, it is scheduled with a crew that arrives at the site to perform the work with state of the art equipment and professionalism. Our pruning work follows all regulatory safety standards set by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and the Z133 (American National Standards for Arboriculture) standards, while following the pruning and removal standards put in place by ANSI 300 and International Society of Arboriculture. While some trees are accessible with an Aerial lift, many trees that not accessible for this piece of equipment, and crews use a saddle and a rope/saddle system to climb the trees to complete the pruning or removals.
Pruning Services provided at the highest level
Structure Prune and Shape
This style of pruning is most commonly used with younger trees to be trained to grow and promote proper structure, as the tree grows. This style of pruning is the most important for young tree. Depending on the species of tree, this rotation is every 3-5 years.
General Prune/Shape
This style of pruning is used for larger, more mature trees. We will remove the dead, dying, and diseased tissues. We then thin the tree by 10-15% and prune long ends back to natural form ,and raise skirt as needed. Depending on the species of tree, this rotation is every 5-7 years.
Shape Only
This style of pruning is used for trees that have long ends, or need to be cleared from a structure. Depending on the species, this can vary.
Deadwood up 2/3rds and Shrubs
This is typically used on pines and spruce. This is completed every 5-7 years.
For shrubs, we often either recommend a natural prune and shape, or a shear to shape depending upon the species.
Hazard prune 2” and larger deadwood
This pruning operation is typically completed on large, over-mature trees to maintain the safety and integrity of the tree.
Removals
When we complete a removal, it is specified as saw off to low stump, unless a client requests otherwise. Regardless of it being a pruning or removal, we will chip the brush, do a thorough cleanup, and haul everything away. We have the ability to grind out stumps, just below grade, or we can grind them out to re-plant depth in the space. We always call in utility locates prior to grinding a stump out. And when receive those late spring snow storms or early fall snow storms and trees suffer storm damage, our crews will be diverted assist you with clean-up, to ensure the safety of your property.
